Counselling Room Hire

Waterside Counselling is a secluded and peaceful working space, and rooms are available to those suitably insured and looking for a secure and therapeutic workspace in which to practice.

Longer-term rental and one-off bookings can also be accommodated at times to suit, including daytime, evening or weekends.

We have three counselling rooms and these can be booked for £8 per hour by those suitably insured. For groups or workshops our larger community space can accommodate up to twelve people and can be booked from £12 per hour.

Waterside Counselling has a secure entry system; a small reception and waiting area; kitchen and bathroom facilities. Wi-Fi is available throughout. A car park with twelve spaces is available in front of the building (shared with other users of the building). Nearby there is ample on-street parking and public car parks.

The practice does not have facilities designed specifically for those with disabilities (e.g. improved wheelchair access or toilets). It is however situated on the ground floor, there are no steps and wheelchairs can access the building, albeit with some careful navigation.

Trainee Placements

Waterside Counselling offers some training placements to students from suitably approved counselling courses.  If you wish to be considered for a placement then please contact us with your resume and suitable references.

The practice provides appropriate clinical oversight and insurances, however we do not, at this stage offer individual supervision to trainees.  Trainees must make their own arrangements for individual supervision, in line with their course or respective professional bodies requirements.

The practice is not in a position at this stage to offer assistance with travel, subsistence or supervision costs incurred by volunteers (though this is being kept under review).

The practice from time-to-time runs small group training sessions for volunteers and trainees are expected to avail themselves of these.  We also run a small monthly supervision group, facilitated by a senior practitioner and trainees are welcome to join this if spaces are available.

So if you are simply looking to hire a room or would like to become part of the Waterside Counselling service, either as a volunteer qualified counsellor or a trainee looking for a placement, then please contact us.
